The Lyon herron fund

When I was 15 years old I met Lyon, a sun-kissed, surfer dude from Malibu, California. Our meeting was not accidental by any means. My friends mom, Arlene, who was like a mother to me, was battling cancer and had met Lyon and his family while searching through support groups on the internet. Though the age gap was quite large, both Arlene and Lyon had the same spirit, one that was hard to ignore. Lyon flew out to New York with his mom, Barbie, and that is when we met. Since that day, I can easily say that all of our lives had changed.

Lyon's journey has not been an easy one. Diagnosed with Gardner's Disease at a young age, this rare disease has affected him his entire life. For those who don't know, Gardner's Disease causes the body to create desmoid tumors that even when removed will come back, and eventually will wrap around organs. As of right now there is no cure for this awful disease.

I am absolutely honored to donate a portion of the proceeds from the Lyon Hat to the Lyon Herron Fund started by Love Beats Cancer. You can learn more and stay updated here: http://lovebeatscancer.fund/projects/lyon-herron/
